LOCATION
Trafford City is the new destination brand for the area adjacent to the Intu Trafford Centre. It extends to some 200 hectares and comprises 3.4 million square feet of retail, leisure and commercial development as well as a further 150 acres for future development. The area is highly accessible by car being situated off the M60 at junction 9 and 10, with only a 20 minute drive time from the centre of Manchester.
It is also accessible by train with direct routes from Manchester Piccadilly requiring only a short bus journey to the main shopping centre. There are also several bus routes from the centre of Manchester which provide direct access.
DESCRIPTION
Liverpool Road
The site is flat and broadly rectangular in shape, measuring approximately 5.58 acres (2.26 hectares). It fronts the A57 (Liverpool Road) which links to the M60 at junction 11 and is situated circa 2 miles north west of the Intu Trafford Centre. The neighbouring area is under-going a redevelopment, with a number of retail and leisure schemes planned to enhance the area around the AJ Bell Stadium.
Site C - Trafford Boulevard
The Trafford City Site is located neighbouring the Trafford Golf Centre, arranged in an unorthodox shape measuring approximately 3.83 acres (1.55 hectares). The site is highly accessible, fronting the B5214 which links directly to the M60 at junction 10. The site is also visible from the M60 heading north-bound. In close proximity to the site is the Intu Trafford Centre which lies directly to the east, Premier Inn Manchester to the north and the Trafford Sports Dome and Airkix Indoor Sky Diving Centre to the west.
